Hey lovely UDress fans! Hope the semester is fabulous so far...enjoy it while it lasts! As UDress' former Executive Editor (now currently graduated and unemployed!), I can tell you first hand that this job market is BRUTAL! But while I suffer the resume gauntlet, there is hope for YOU!!!
Teen Vogue Magazine has recently published a full-on Handbook that details how to achieve your dream fashion career....SERIOUSLY! Want to become a Fashion Editor? CHECK! Designer? CHECK! Photog, Beauty Guru or Stylist? CHECK, CHECK, CHECK!!! There is no way that you won't be inspired by this photography and interview-drenched 250+ page insider-guide. If the words THAKOON, WINTOUR or CHANEL (Iman OR Coco!) mean anything to you, then you will devour this great read.
I was fortunate enough to get a sneak peak of the book (while I did some mild editing on it last year! ) when I was a Teen Vogue Beauty Intern, and it is a true work of art. I SWEAR, I have nothing to gain if you read it...but you do. I truly just wanted to share this book with you; hopefully it will make your path a little bit easier if you are considering a fashion or editorial career.
Check out this video of Amy Astley, the Editor-In-Chief of Teen Vogue, as she explains the importance of this handbook. Hope you all LOVE it as much as I do! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dJ9PJWwdNVk&feature=PlayList&p=2C3DA5C5AC7DAF13&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL&index=19
BONUS!!! Check out UDress' own Executive Assistant and Online Editor, SAMANTHA ANTOPOL at the 2:01 minute mark. Not only is she a UDress powerhouse, but she was a fabulous Fashion Intern at Teen Vogue too!
