So your weekend is jam packed with Halloween plans but you don’t want to repeat your costume night after night. Here are some simple, inexpensive costume ideas to pull together for any night this weekend – whether you’re hitting up Cleveland or Kildare’s.
It may not be the most original, but this ensemble is one of the simplest to put together with items you probably already own. All you really need is a plaid button-down shirt and khaki, denim, or corduroy shorts. Guys, let your mane go natural, and ladies, style yours in pigtail braids. Top the look off with a cowboy hat from Five and Dime and you’re ready to go. image from http://winifredandbance.com
2. Flapper The great thing about this look is you can make it as sexy or innocent as you’d like. All you need is your LBD – the shorter the dress, the more risqué – and some basic styling. Add a long pearl necklace, a sequined headband, and a feather boa – all available at any nearby Halloween store – and finish the look off with strong black eyeliner and a red lip.
3. Tourist Stop by Goodwill and pick up a Hawaiian print button down shirt for cheap. Pair it with khaki shorts and just add accessories: a camera or sunglasses hanging around your neck, high socks, a big hat, a fanny pack. You can really get creative with this look without breaking the bank. It’s especially great for a group of friends. There you have it - a weekend’s worth of Halloween costumes made from items already in your closet and easily available on Main Street. So deck yourself out, stock up on candy corn, and get pumped for a super fun Halloween weekend.
