What is your involvement in UDress?
I first got involved with UDress in the fall of my sophomore year. I started as a writer for Real Wide World, and in the spring of that year I wrote for Life & Love with Style. Last summer through this past fall I co-edited the website and this is
my first semester as section editor for What Dela Wears.

What's the first thing you tell people about yourself?
The first thing I tell people about myself when I meet them is that I’m from Westchester County in NY which, contrary to what many Long Islanders say, is NOT upstate.

What got you interested in writing?
I’ve always been interested in writing, because English was my best subject in school and I like to read. Since getting to college and taking classes in journalism, I’ve realized that my niche is in magazines because I prefer writing long-form articles. Feature stories in magazines can develop more slowly and organically, rather than newspaper pieces, which are often released daily or weekly and tend to have a more rigorous style.

What is your major?
I’m an English major with minors in journalism and Italian.

What kind of career are you interested in pursuing?
I’m still on the fence about what career I really plan to pursue, but I’m leaning towards something in the book-publishing field.

If something could happen in the next 5 minutes, what would it be?
If something could happen to me in the next five minutes, I would miraculously come up with a cure for cancer.

How many pairs of jeans do you own?
I own 1 pair of jeans and I rarely wear them—jeans aren’t my thing, I haven’t ever had a pair that I really love.

What is your worst "fashion fail" of the last six months?
I recently wore a pair of tights were a bit too ripped. Some slight tears are ok, but I probably should have tossed that pair. I’m not too sure that I can pull off the whole Kesha thing.

If you could have any designer dress you for a day, who would it be?
Alice + Olivia

What is the nicest thing someone has ever said to you?
A friend from home once told me that I was the glue that held our friends together.

What is your favorite story you wrote for UDress?
My favorite story that I wrote for UDress was an article I wrote for Real Wide World about whether or not media is in danger of becoming paperless. I was proud of this piece because newspapers and magazines are very close to my heart and I can’t imagine a world without them!

If you could pick your dream job and live it, what would that be?
My dream job is to be a successful novelist, or Jewel.

Any guilty pleasures?
My guilty pleasure is reality TV, but I must not feel too guilty about it because I endorse it daily.

What is your biggest fear?
“The only thing we have to fear is fear itself..” and spiders.

What is your typical breakfast?
If I wake up in time for breakfast, I usually eat lunch.

What is the funniest/dumbest joke you've heard?
I can’t think of the funniest joke I’ve ever heard, but inside jokes are the best. And those classic one-liners that friends say at the most inappropriate times.

What is your favorite part about the magazine industry?
My favorite thing about the magazine industry is that putting together and promoting a magazine involves so many different strengths. Being a part of UDress has exposed me to so many talented and creative people. In order to put out the great product that we put out twice a year, we have to pull ideas from writers, editors, photographers, stylists, layout, the whole publishing side and more.

What is your favorite magazine?
UDress is my favorite magazine!
