Diamonds may be a girl's best friend, but I also love funky baubles, bright beads, quirky bracelets, oversized rings and chunky necklaces.

On Cherie- Beauty Box bag, City Girl Los Angeles necklace, City Girl Los Angeles earrings
Candy Shop: Step into color with rainbow necklaces and bracelets.

On Cherie- Over the Rainbow necklaces, Over the Rainbow bracelets, My Pretty ring, Editorial/Couture Swarovski lollipops
Blue Bell: Accessorize in one shade to pull your look together.
On Cherie- Classic Anywhere Flower clips, Elephant necklaces
Lady Like: Charms and trinkets make grown-up pieces young and fun.
On Cherie- Waterfall cameo necklace, Neon Cameo rings, Nude Cameo ring
Precious Punk: Juxtapose rough emblems with soft girly details.
On Cherie-White Widow lace headband with skull, Money & Sense penny necklace, Sacrab locket

Michelle Lapidos, our fabulous founder and editor in chief emeritus is currently looking for interns to help her out with The NYC Game (http://thenycgame.com/).
I wish I could do this myself, as Michelle gets to explore New York City with fantastic insiders and go to all sorts of fun events and places.
The internship would take place in New York, and though unpaid is an amazing experience. (Really, I WISH I could do it myself!)
To apply, or for more information, please add Michelle Joni Lapidos on facebook.com and send her a brief message expressing your interest.
Best of luck! |

Tonight, UDress founder and editor in chief emeritus, Michelle Lapidos hosted a get together for magazine members-past and present.
Working UDressers, like Julie Gralla (UD '09) shared stories of the working world, while current members got to chat with alumni who were there when UDress was first born.
Check out the super cute picture of us at The Hill in New York City.
Thanks to Michelle for a wonderful UDress filled evening-we owe it all to you :) |

I love magazines. Always have, always will. I would beg my parents to buy me issues at the checkout counter, and forever cherish my favorite titles.
So what magazines does this magazine lover love? Below is a list of my current faves (old beloveds include ElleGirl and Teen People), in no particular order:
1) TeenVogue-okay, this one is in order. My home for the summer and a steady read since the age of 13, Teen Vogue's pint size is just the right size for me.
2) Marie Claire-I use to read my mom's old issues, but in recent time, I've come to love the magazine that features global conflicts in each issue. (And this month Ashley Olsen is on the cover, and you all know how much I adore MK and Ash!)
3) Glamour-it's just plain fun. From tips on fashion and beauty to love and relationship advice, Glamour hits all the right things. Plus, they show high and low end fashion, so all budgets can enjoy.
4) Allure-another one I inherited from my mom. Their cover stories are always my favorite as they dive deep into the starlet they feature.
5) InStyle-I love the way they break down outfits, show style options and include a bit of celeb trivia. I always discover new designers and products when reading this oversized publication.
6) Cosmopolitan-yeah, yeah, I know every girl reads it (and apparently every guy hates that every girl reads it). Beyond what makes it notorious, Cosmo has cute editorial spreads and health information you can't find in other magazines.
7) Harper's Baazar-they always have the most interesting covers. Never an upclose image of a bubblegum girl's face, but instead, Harper's displays interesting angles, actresses on chairs, and in compromising positions.
8) Gotham-is a large InStyle sized magazine that features New York. From socialites to stores, trends and news, Gotham is all about the Gotham City I live in.
9) Nylon-quirky spreads, poppy colors and new faces, Nylon is the hipster in a room of Blair Waldorfs. Never skimping on what's hot, new and undiscovered, Nylon proves that you can be different and still fit in.
10) Occasionally, I'll read: Elle, Lucky, Vogue and W-though it depends on the cover and the articles that month.

This UDresser is a former Charlotte Ronson intern, and a long time fan of the designer. Once known for being a go to for girlywear, Ronson has updated her namesake line to be sophisticated, chic, and comfy: the perfect combination for a UD student on the go.
I took UDress model Cherie Grimm down to Ronson's NoLita store to try on some pieces from the Spring and Summer collections.
Rompers are the it-item of the moment. Pair yours with a stylish fedora and multicolored bangles to keep it from looking kiddish. (Fedora by Rag and Bone, bangles by Alyssa Norton)

Short summer denim dresses, topped with bejeweled headbands and woven flats are perfect for running around all day and still looking good at the end. (Headband by Mary-Kate Steinmiller)

What's summer time without the beach? Pick up a paisley print bikini and throw on some colorful shades to ensure you'll be looking cool. (Bikini by Shoshanna with love Charlotte Ronson, sunglasses by Ray-bans)

Black and white are always in, but try wearing gray as a basic. The cut out shoulders and studs keep the dress from being too stiff. Don't be afraid of chunk heels-not only are they surprisingly comfortable, but they add an unexpected edge to your ensemble.

All clothes and shoes by Charlotte Ronson. All items available at the Charlotte Ronson store-239 Mulberry Street, or by calling 212 625 9074.
Special thanks to Val Fernandez and Charlotte Ronson. |

Anyone who knows me knows I absolutely adore Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. In my book, they can't do anything wrong.
Growing up, I was always so bummed that I didn't live in an area with a Wal*Mart, as they sold the mary-kateandashley brand clothing. But now, Olsen and Olsen have certainly made up for their Wal*Mart exclusivity by launching Elizabeth and James.
Currently my favorite brand, Elizabeth and James perfectly mixes femininity and masculinity, surely making each wearer looks as cool as MK and Ash. While a lot of the pieces aren't exactly in a college student's budget, the line, named after their siblings, certainly doesn't skimp on quality in fabric, design and cut.
Since its launch, Elizabeth and James has incorporated shoes (a collaboration with Steve Madden) and jewelry (a collaboration with Robert Lee Morris) into the collection. Fall '09 will usher in a much anticipated menswear line from the dynamic duo.
Check out some of my favorite looks from www.elizabethandjames.us below:
