As movie prices continue to climb higher and higher, I have decided to boycott buying $11 movie tickets and seek out better and cheaper ways to see movies. Though Redbox and Netflix are always options, I was in search of a way to go OUT to a theater and see a semi-new film. While browsing the internet, I came across the UD student events page and was reminded that the student center features a weekend film series that plays decent movies every Friday and Saturday. Tickets are only $3 each and the films are relatively new. Some of the best on the list are Sex and the City 2, Inception, Iron Man 2, and Toy Story 3. A separate Wednesday night film series features Eat Pray Love and The Kids are Alright. Many of the films are double features and provide the ideal study break! I don’t know about the rest of you cash strapped college students, but I am more than okay with waiting a month or so to see a movie in theaters for a quarter of the price!
