Finally, my prayers have been answered. (Cue the choir and sound the bells). The manicure gods at O.P.I have created a non-chipping line of polish. And I’m sure I’m not alone when I say it’s about time! If you’re like me, and feel naked without any nail polish and cringe at the thought of breaking a nail, the new Axxium Gel System line is perfect for you. The gel is applied right over your nails to strengthen and protect them without looking fake. Colors range from flirty light pinks and neutrals to seductress navy and blackberry and come in a spectrum of your favorite O.P.I colors. The application will be flawless for about two weeks before you need a touch up due to nail growth. Whenever you want a new color, just sit back and soak your nails in the removal solution and in about 15 minutes your real nail will be revealed perfectly intact. There is one catch: as of now, this is only available in salons. If your favorite manicurist doesn’t have this new technology yet, keep asking. This trend is sure to grow just as fast as your perfectly manicured nails. So, take a break from your exhausting social lives and hectic summer jobs and walk/run/drive down to your local salon and take an hour to pamper yourself. You deserve it.
