UDress is partnering with a large, national website. We will be sharing content between this site (the name will be revealed at a later date), and our already established site, UDressMag.com.
With that said, we are searching for Campus Cuties. By joining this group (http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=131760170200591&v=info&ref=mf#!/group.php?gid=131760170200591&v=wall&ref=mf), you are consenting to allow UDress to name you Campus Cutie at any time (there will be roughly one chosen per month). UDress members will collaborate to choose the Campus Cutie!
What does this mean for you? If selected, you'll just need to provide your favorite pictures (from facebook) and answer a few short questions about yourself. Easy!
This partnership and the first Campus Cutie will go live on September 7th.

Many of UDress's upper level staff, editors and directors are bidding us farewell as they finish up their final semester at UD. We wish them all the best as they go on in their lives.

On Saturday, May 1st, 2010, Perkins was overflowing with fashion, food, and the incredible Spring, futuristic issue of UDress Magazine. Inside, attendees browsed a variety of products from Flavor, NV Boutique, Flip Flop Show, Tom's Shoes, Gloss, Cherne Altovise, Beatlefest, Urban Avenue and Caroline LaPrise, while munching on delicious free samples from Seasons Pizza, Primo Hoagies, Pats Pizza and Mizu Sushi. Outside, passersby were greeted with music, urging them to come inside and check out the magazine. Throughout the day, several models, including the Spring cover model, Mara Pfeffer (above), walked around wearing ensembles featured in the magazine.
"I'm so blown away by the issue. I can't believe that eight pages in black and white turned into this," said Michelle Lapidos, the founder and Editor-in-Chief Emeritus of UDress. "I'm so happy to see everyone celebrating at this event-I can't even describe how it makes me feel." She was also impressed by the Tom's Shoes table, where several event-goers, including Lapidos, purchased a pair of Toms "Natural Canvas Classics" and decorated them with trinkets donated by Clothes in the Past Lane.
Caroline LaPrise's, hand-made creations were also a big hit. Her unique flowered headbands, which cost only five dollars, sold out in no time. Watch out for this UD freshman, she's sure to make her mark on the Delaware fashion scene. Cherne Altovise, another student designer also displayed her works of art. From beaded necklaces to pretty earrings, Altovise's unique designs are sure to make a splash!
Carly Figman, a sophomore at UD and long-time fan of UDress, spoke emphatically about this semester's issue. "I really enjoyed reading it and I keep seeing how it gets better and better."
Derek Koblentz, a sophomore at Boston University, was visiting on the day of the event. "I'm a fan so far," he said. "I'm very impressed by the magazine."
Many thanks to those who stopped by Perkins to shop around and pick up copies of the new issue. If you haven't gotten your hands on one yet, you can find UDress all over campus (and soon right here on udressmag.com)!

It's a Fashion Takeover on Saturday, May 1st at Perkins from 12-6.
Join us in a day of trade as Delaware's finest boutiques, restaurants, and local designers greet you with their very best.
Come shop, taste and spend the day welcoming this issue of UDress into the season. Check out who won our semester-long cover model contest!
UDress Editors and Stylists will be there to shop with you, so when you ask, "How does this look?" you'll have trained eyes there with an answer.
See local salon professionals to sample the latest products. UDress makeup artists and beauty experts will be there to field your toughest questions.
UDress Models will be displaying the newest finds, as they mingle throughout the room. Talk to them and they could lead you to your new favorite item of clothing.
Sample hors d'oeuvres from restaurants around the Newark area.
Give a pair of shoes to a child in need by buying a pair of TOMS Shoes. Check out new styles or paint a neutral canvas pair of your own.
Local Designers set up shop! If you create a fashionable craft, bring it and ask a fair price. A student could leave wearing something by YOU. And perhaps the local boutiques could like what they see...*
