A lot went into our fabulous Fall Fashion Event this past Saturday. We started planning back in September when we came up with an idea for our poster, booking models and doing the photo shoot. From there we went into high gear planning. Decorations were selected and purchased or rented. Advertisers were reached out to and signed. We chose giveaways for all of our attendees. Entertainment was sought out or recommended and booked. We found our master of ceremonies. Models were chosen and fitted at their respective stores. The night before the event, UDressers were hard at work creating gift bags for all of our attendees, and the next morning UDressers and some very helpful models, transported the bags from upstairs in Trabant to the Multipurpose rooms. Throughout the day, we had all of the models (sixty-nine of them!) rehearse and rehearse and rehearse their walks. Because of our square runway, it was important that the models were on the beat with their partners and stopped at the correct spots along the runway to ensure maximum viewing of their AMAZING ensembles. While the models went into hair and makeup, UDressers worked on setting up the gift bags, working on the program and slideshow and setting up the tables for vendors. After one last run through of the show, it was time to open the doors to guests. The multipurpose room was flooded with UDress fans, eager to see the newest issue, and check out what our vendors had to offer-everything from testing out new XBOX systems to getting discounts to the best stores in the area! After purchasing raffles tickets and noshing on sushi and cookies, Master of Ceremonies Michael Davis began the pre-show, which led into the flawless runway show! As hugs and applauses ended, it was clean up time! The entire day of lasted just over twelve hours, but was it worth it? Of course!! Keep checking back to read more about our Fall Fashion Event!!
