"How am I going to live today in order to create the tomorrow I'm committed to?"-Anthony Robbins. The journeys of my todays are exactly what I plan to share with you as I work towards one of several life aspirations of mine... being a male model. I began seriously considering modeling about 9 months ago and began working with local photographers in the Delaware/Pennsylvania area, building a basic portfolio and doing runway shows for up and coming designers and clothing boutiques including NV Boutique in Newark, DE. However, I have to accredit my most reassuring experience to the UDress fall fashion show/Model competition. To have people you're close to suggest that you become a model isn't the most convincing proposal and might even lead to future grief because the typical ideas of what's attractive aren't always what designers and agencies look for. Winning the UDress fashion show was that added motivation I needed to commit to modeling as a profession. Though still early in my career, I recently signed a two year contract with Wilhelmina Models, an agency founded in 1967 by former model Wilhelmina Cooper and her husband Bruce Cooper, now one of the most prominent and successful talent agencies in the world...and this is where my efforts truly begin. Each week I'll be updating readers with info and insight about my experiences as a model which may range from personal photos and videos I take during shoots...to fashion and maintenance (beauty) tips for men...yes guys need to preserve their look too. Join me as I share my journey with you while working towards my ultimate goal of becoming an internationally recognized male model!
