 Were you the first person in that never-ending line for the Ludacris and Trey Songz concert last semester? Did you sing along to every Maroon 5 song in the fall? Have you been to numerous Dave Matthews Band concerts? And did you feel a little lightheaded and extremely frustrated while trying to get Lady Gaga tickets (I must have hit the refresh button a million times)? I don’t know about you, but I'm used to the discounted ticket prices at the Bob Carpenter Center. Any concert at Madison Square Garden is about 4 times that price, and that’s for the nosebleed section. With my unpaid internship, my bank account isn’t exactly singing a happy tune. But, there is hope! Good Morning America hosts a free summer concert series in Central Park every Friday morning. The Rumsey Playfield has already hosted Miley Cyrus, Alicia Keys, and the Jonas Brothers. But, I’m personally looking forward to performances by Mary J. Blige, Black Eyed Peas, Rihanna, and Lady Antebellum. Grab a friend or two and set your alarm clocks for sunrise, because you’re not going to want to miss out on this!
